Prepare yourself for a Leadership Role
“The sky’s the limit on what you can learn: So make sure you AIM HIGH!”
This summer FL-821 will conduct it 23rd annual leadership and orientation program at Buchholz High School.
Leadership camp is designed to orient new students into JROTC by developing friendships and program knowledge before school begins. It is also used to develop leadership skills in some of our returning JROTC cadets. Students are taught the basics of drill, uniform wear, and military courtesies while simultaneously receiving instruction in areas such as study skills and time management.
The entire 5 days are planned and implemented by upper-class cadets who are monitored by the JROTC faculty. Students are broken into flights of approximately 10-12 people with 2-3 upper class cadets managing their training.
Cadets that complete the SLS Orientation Program will receive their first stripe, an SLS and Activities ribbon, a Recognition Coin, and points toward an AFJROTC Varsity Letter.
